1. How does your product  use or challenge conventions AND  how does it represent social groups or issues?     Energy drinks have always been one of those things that have been deemed as unhealthy.  Celsius is trying to resolve that issue by making energy drinks specific to helping consumers when working out.  This helps the people that need the energy booster before working out but also want to stay healthy.            2. How does your p roduct engage with audiences AND  how would it be distributed as a real media text?     My project engages with audiences by using motivating music and a real-life scenario. For example, in my project I used motivating music to encourage the viewers to use the product. This is also engaging because it shows what the project can help the viewer with. My product could be distributed as real media text because it was done in a very professional manner. Meaning, that if you were to look at other commercials the product mine is based around did, they are m

The Final Product

Today is the final day of this project. The final touches have been added to my commercial and it is now complete. This commercial has been so fun to complete. I'm glad I have the opportunity to participate in this class. Filming the commercial was nerve-racking at first but once I became confident in what I was filming it became quite easy. Once I was editing it took me a while to get used to what I had to do. I had never edited anything before. This commercial was definitely beneficial in helping me learn and get better with time management and basic editing/ filming skills. The Commercial is definitely the starting project for the rest of the year. I am excited to see my progression throughout the multiple projects this year.

The Final Step!

Today, I finished editing. I added the needed transitions to make my scenes flow smoothly into one another. I also added the background music. This was difficult to figure out. Some transitions I added were cross dissolve and fade to black. These were just two of the few I used. I feel the transitions make the commercial flow better and look more professional. I also added an extra scene to make my ommerical longer. adding this scene made my commercial 30 seconds. Today, I also added the ending Celsius scene. Adding this ending scene added a second onto my commercial making 30 seconds. the ending scene fades out to black to end the commercial as a whole. I muted the audio on all the clips. This is to avoid any background noise playing over the music. This also avoids any wind noises that were included in the video since we filmed outside. I cropped all the videos so that they were the same size and flowed nicely. I also cropped the Celsius logo to ensure the viewer could see the whole

The beginning of the end

Today I started editing. After piecing together all the scenes im using I made sure I had a long enough commercial. The commercial was to long at first. However, after making some of the scenes shorter and cutting out parts the commercial became the right amount of time. I watched through each clip individually to see what I needed to remove to make the scene how I wanted. I then put the scenes in order to how I want them to be seen in the commercial. I added my ending Celsius scene as well. I also started to look at all the possible editing tools. I looked over the music and where and how I want to input it into this project. I started to plan out the edits I wanted and where I wanted them. I did this to make the actual editing process quicker and more efficient. I am editing my commercial on Imovie. I chose this because they have so many great editing tools and its quick and easy to use. It also sinks everything from my phone to my laptop making it accessible wherever I am. My comme

The ending scene

Today was the second day of filming. I however, finished my filming the first day. Today, I put together all my scenes I will use in my commercial. I did this to make sure I had the amount of time needed to succeed and get a good grade on my commercial. my commercial came to 27 seconds and adding the ending scene of the Celsius logo will make it close to 30. I also cut some of the scenes that were longer then needed to make it the right time and presentation. All my scenes were filmed horizontally to make my commercial uniform. For my project I also started to plan my editing. I decided what I was going to use to move from scene to scene. I also went over my clips to make sure my scenes and angles were the same as my story board. I also started to look at music to use for my commercial. I want to use something upbeat and motivating. Something that you would listen to while work ing out. The filming experience of this commercial and first project was very beneficial. It was cool to see
