The Final Leap

Attached below is my creative critical reflection.

Sit Back and Watch!

This is my second major project i've done this year. Looking back on the project now I realize there are many things I could have improved on. However, I believe I have improved from my last video to this one. There are many things I will be able to achieve in my next video that I wasn't able to in this video. With some hard work and practice I will be able to make an even better video next time. In conclusion, this project was very helpful in discovering my ability factor to film, edit, and create a video. My ability will continue to advance with time and practice. I am interested and excited to see my progress from this video to the next. This video may not be the best one i've done all year but I am still very proud of it. Overall, this video was a very rewarding experience for me and I am very thankful to be given the opportunity to participate in a class that teaches these skills.

Almost Done!

Today is my last day of editing. I took all of the videos I filmed and watched them to see the ones I wanted to use. After I did this I collected the ones I wanted to use. I then put the videos from the second day of filming into the editing app I was using. I added it to what I was editing before. This included the videos I decided to use from the first day of filming. I also started to edit these videos. Once I added the new videos I added the music I was using. After this I lined up the scenes with the song. I did this so the story line of the videos matched up with the one of the song. Once I made sure the video and song lined up I started to add small edits to it. I added a zoom effect on one of the scenes. I also added edits to make the scenes flow into one another better. Editing this time was a lot easier then my last project. This is because I knew how to work the editing app as well as what the different edits did. Overall the editing experience this time was better than the

Today was my second day of filming. Today I needed to film quite a bit of it outside. Lucky for me the weather was perfect. It was a sunny day and it wasn't to hot outside. The weather being nice really made filming enjoyable. To start my filming I started with preparing the area I was filming in. I did this by making sure that the lighting worked well for my scenes. I also made sure that the filming location worked for what I needed. I didn't have anyone to help me film this scene so I set my phone up where it needed to be to create a long shot. I then put the timer on the phone for 10 seconds and walked far enough away to the point the background and myself were the main focus of this scene and it wasn't just focusing on me. I needed someone to help me film my next scene. For this next scene it was a tracking shot of the girl walking down the street and into her house. This is the final scene. After I concluded my filming I rewatched the scenes and made sure they were to

The second look

Today I put together all the videos I filmed during my first day of filming. I started to put it together to figure out how long the scenes I have filmed are. There is a time limit this video has to be and I want to make sure I meet that limit. Putting the videos together allowed me to see how much more I needed to film. It also allowed me to ensure I did not want to go back and refilm any scene. To start editing my video I inserted all of the videos I was using into my editing app. After I did that I added the first part of the song to match up with the scenes. I started to look at the editing options to move between scenes. I found the one that worked best for each scene I inserted. After I chose the edits I wanted for the videos I had I rewatched the video as a whole. I made new or improved edits where I wanted. I then got my family and friends suggestions on how to make it better. After I finished editing for the day I started to plan for my next day of filming. To do this I revie

Time to Get The Camera Out

The start of my filming journey was rocky at first. I went to film and it seemed like everything that could go wrong did. I decided to try again the next day to film. This day it went a little better and I was able to film a good portion of my music video. The song I am making my music video to has a really strong meaning behind it for me. So while filming and acting in my music video there were definitely a few tears that were shed. To start filming I cleaned the area I was filming in and cleaned the camera I was using. I did this to ensure a clear image while filming. I started by filming an over the shoulder shot. After that shot was complete  I filmed my next shot. This was a pan of two people sitting on the couch. This scene took a couple tries to get it how I wanted it to look. After I was happy with the results of the last scene I moved onto filming the next. The next scene I was filming was a wide shot that took place in a bedroom. The lighting I wanted for this scene was not
